FOR KITCHEN & BATH DESIGN BUSINESSES ON THE RISE

Are we cursed?Β

it's like we're cursed

Here's the thing, , there is a such thing as "The Curse of Knowledge" (please hear James Earl Jones rumbling that).Β

We all fall prey to this curse at some point or another.Β

It's the unfortunate times when we can't see what we already know and assume we either have it all figured out or that others have the background to understand us, our needs, or our wants.Β

This is where outside perspective can be so powerful.Β

Others perspectives (whether it be from clients, external support, our peers, etc) helps us improve.Β

When was the last time you got someone else's perspective on an issue, question, process, or idea you had?Β

I often say that getting an outside perspective (usually in the form of expert help) can help us improve in 4 ways.Β

lightbulb moment!

Remove bottlenecks

lightbulb moment!

Expand capacity with more easeΒ

lightbulb moment!

Track outcomes without micromanagingΒ

lightbulb moment!

Create knowledge distributionΒ

If you're feeling the need for any of these items, maybe check out this week's featured podcast?Β

It's one of my most popular, I'm sure because it shares much more about how experts help us improve and dives deeper into these four specific ways.Β

Take a listen or watch it on YouTube if you're ready to rid yourself of the Curse of Knowledge.

BTW... half the work of ridding ourselves of the Curse of Knowledge is knowing we have it - and where.Β

If you're ready to start seeing your blind spots, it's time to look for them.Β

As a baby step, take a few minutes to think about where you think you "know it all" and where you haven't looked at in your business or with your team recently - a telltale sign that the curse may have popped up.Β

You'll be surprised how this simple exercise can illuminate so much, perhaps your next hire, goals for Q3 or more!

You guessed it, sales is one of the areas we most run into the Curse of Knowledge.Β

If you realize you haven't looked at your sales system recently, you've assumed you have it all figured out, or you know there's room for improvement - schedule your free sales health check with me.

The idea behind those is that I can be your outside perspective and help you see where the Curse is coming in or other gaps and inefficiencies you may be facing.Β
